This collaboration with artist Jennifer Steinkamp seeks to return the flowers of Uluhaimalama to Iolani Palace in a deeply symbolic act that honors Queen liliuokalani and her legacy.

Using the floral inventory recorded by the Queen herself, with each flower attributed to a member of the lahui, Steinkamp's animated work attempts to illuminate the abiding spirit of the people. Using a contemporary visual vocabulary, the work delves into historical trauma while affirming the Queen's legacy.
